Luis Caceres Jr.
White Belt: age 6 ½ yrs old April 1999
Black Belt: age 11 yrs old Dec. 2003
Luis
(LJ) has always loved martial arts ever since the age of 4yrs old.
I can remember how he loved to look at all the Bruce Lee and Chuck
Norris movies with me and still does to this day. He enjoys other
movies as well, but there is something about the action movies that
really excites him.
Luis has always been very active in sports, especially
basketball. He is very good and always is determined to work harder
and get better in every aspect of the sport he is participating
in. Luis also likes to play with kids younger and older than him.
He is very outgoing, loyal and extremely friendly.
At
the age of 6 ½ I enrolled Luis in Tae Kwon Do in 1999. My
wife and I chose O.M.S for three reasons: Experience, Reputation,
and the Honor of being taught by Grand Master Kim. Luis at first
was a shy boy and was scared at many times to return to the school
because of the way Master Kim would discipline him and all the other
students. Master Kim is tough and expects hard work from his students
and that was something that Luis had to get used to. We have noticed
a great change in our son throughout the years. We have watched
him grow from a shy 6-year young boy as a white belt to a strong
healthy 11-year old boy. We are extremely proud of him.
Luis has matured in many ways – self-esteem, mental confidence,
schoolwork, and in many other areas of his life. I thank Master
Kim and everyone at O.M.S. During his 5 years of martial arts training,
Luis has attended more than 25 tournaments and has won Gold, Silver
and Bronze (1st, 2nd and 3rd place) medals. In 2000 and 2001 at
the Junior Olympics he was awarded with a Gold Medal and Silver
Medal for the Sparing events. For this he was eligible to compete
in the National Junior Olympics two years in a row. As his parents
we are very proud of him for his accomplishments at this early age.
Luis is committed to being the best he can be. Luis is also a member
of the Weingart Lakewood Family/YMCA Basketball team and they just
finished the spring 2004 season with a record of 8-1. They went
undefeated. All the confidence within him self has so much to do
with Tae Kwon Do! We give so much credit to Oriental Moo Do School!!
Thank you Master Kim for your undying support!
You’re the best!!
